I bought this as a gift for a friend who has many other parts to the game. He loves it … I tried it and it seems like a lot of work to set up. Also, there are so many add-ons to the basic game (if you can figure out what the basic game is.) If you’re going to buy this, I would make sure you play for the first time with some one who is an experienced player.

The expansion for 5-6 players is a welcome extension to the traders and barbarians expansion of Catan.
If you have a large crew as I do this piece if vital if you want to be able to get use of your base expansion.
Only minor rules tweaks are necessary and are easily adapted. So the additions will not hurt the flow of the play at all.
If you have the crew for it, you will want this product, if not then it can be passed by.
