I bought two of these in both colors for my grown boys (39 and 35)and they had a
ball playing with them. It took a while for them to get the hang of how to fly them so I don’t know if young boys could do it or not. I always get my boys a toy
for Christmas and these were definitely a hit.

I bought this product for my son for Christmas. The propeller
mode worked fine. But once it switched to the flying mode,
the thing just fell on ground. We tried many different ways
to make it work in flying mode. I even climbed to the roof
of my house to fly it so that it has more time to switch from
propeller mode to flying mode. It still doesn’t work.
The paint was off here and there after about two hours of playing.
My son got very disappointed, and so did I.

My Son is not very happy with the product it doesn’t seem to hold a charge
very well thus it doesn’t fly for very long. It is a real disappointment
I wish we could return it for him and get his money back as he is 11yrs old
and used his own money to buy it.

Purchased as a christmas gift, the toy didn’t last christmas day. Charge would not last. Low hoover only. Not worth the money

I got two of these for Christmas for a couple of 10 year old boys. They flew them on a baseball field over the weekend. While they really loved them and flew them a LOT, by the end of the weekend, the charge in the planes was getting less and less– and yes, I changed out the batteries in the controllers. It definitely does what it says. It spirals up about 30-40 feet in the air and then it changes to plane mode and flies around, but don’t think you are going to be able to control the flight more than making a slight turn here or there. I have purchased Airhog planes before, and here is my assessment: They are really fun toys that will be used 2-3 weeks before either the battery in the planes can’t charge enough or the wings get dinged up too much affecting the flight. Don’t even think about flying this thing on concrete! Hey, if you’ve got $50 or $60, and you want a fun toy for a while it is great, but don’t think it will last.
