With all the other present options on Christmas, this was the least popular. My five year old and three year old still played with it but other things held their attention longer. When assembling it, my husband and I about had a heart attack. The noise that played once the batteries where in sounded like awful early eighties roller rink music. After the painful flash backs we cut the sound wires and screwed it together. We left the flashing lights working… so the boys would get some reward for their spinning effort. It is great for getting they boys to use their own muscles, so I am still happy with the purchase.

I bought this when our son turned 3 because it was actually one of the few toys I remember from my own childhood. Maybe it’s just *ours*, but it seems really hard to turn. Our 5 year old can make it go, but it still takes him some time, too. They like the music and the IDEA, but it’s definitely not the favorite it was when I had mine. It seems to spin pretty freely when there is no weight on it, and we’ve tried it on tile as well as carpet, and it’s just as difficult on both surfaces. I am not sure what the deal is, but it’s still entertaining to our boys. The biggest downside, as a parent, is the volume. I had to put half-dead batteries in it because the music is REALLY loud and even our 5 year old didn’t like it at first. The biggest downside from a kid is the difficulty to get it spinning. Overall, it was a cool toy for the money.

I regret this purchase. My 1.5 year old just sat on it and looked at me like “seriously, you bought this.”

I remember having one of these when I was younger and it was easy to spin and no load music, music is nice but there is not a volume control. My 22 month old is very gadget savey but this really frustrates her to try and spin it. Bring back the old school orignal versions of toys and the toddlers today would really appreciate them. No…. No…. I do not reccomend this toy. Sorry

I have had the sit n spins before and my kids loved them. This one is a Christmas present.
