Product Description
This is a deluxe playtime gym for the Fisher-Price Precious Planet line. It has 3 arches, which is unique considering most gyms have 4 arches. Three arches makes it easier for mom to access baby and position baby on the mat. Our mat is large and circular. There are 2 soft pancake character panels: a monkey with a crinkle leaf and a lion with felt grass. Both panels have VELCRO® brand closure behind them so they can be attached to the arches. There is also a plastic… More >>

I wanted to buy this gym but after seeing a few at the stores with mirrors already fallen off I decided that it was a risk I didn’t want to take. The mirror looked real to me but according to parents who own it – it is plastic. Either way I think it’s a hazard to have something fall on a baby. Use at your own risk.

The mirror on this product falls off. We had to reglue it. The sticky is not sticky enough.
Other than that- it is great. It is colorful, easy to take apart to wash. My son and I use it all the time.

I purchased this for my son when he was about 4 months old. He likes playing with all the hanging toys. I attached another toy to the center- a longer one with a rattle at the end that he can chew on which he enjoys the most. The toys it comes with don’t seem to hold his interest as long. I have not had a problem with the mirror falling off as other reviewers have stated and he plays with the mirror plenty. I like that the mat is large enough so that now at 6 months he has room to rollover back and forth. I would like it if the mat was a little more padded, when we place it on the hardwood floor we have to lay a blanket down first so, that he doesn’t hurt his feet when he kicks. I also like that it only has three arches so it’s easy to put him down and pick him up. The cute bear that plays music is also nice since it has different settings. All in all I would highly recommend. In fact I recently purchased another one as a baby shower gift for a family member. Also, I checked around at the stores and it’s a lot more expensive so, definitely purchase from Amazon. I saved myself $10+ twice!!!

My 3 month old daughter was a bit frustrated by this playyard when I first put her in it. I think it’s because she’s not very mobile yet, and couldn’t reach the toys well. She does like it when I place the toys on her carseat, so I think when she’s older and is able to crawl and sit up, she’ll enjoy the play yard much more.
There are a couple things that I think could have made this product better, though. Firstly, the toys are not very textured. I thought they would be made of varying textures (felt, plastic, etc), to make them more stimulating. Most of the toys (the bear, dragon, and penguin) are simply made of hard plastic – not very interesting to touch, in my opinion. This play gym also includes two rubber toys (a crab and something else) that are pretty boring. I replaced them with something else.
I also wish that there was something my daughter could kick while lying on her back, playing with the main toys. She loves to kick her legs – however, there’s nothing but air within leg’s reach. I improvised by adding a rattle to one of the bars – she loved the sound that the kicking made. I wish Fisher Price had done the same.
I haven’t tried the musical bear yet, have to get batteries for it.

I ordered this as an entertaining place to put my newborn on her back while I could swap out laundry, grab a drink, etc. It actually became even more useful than that! When she started to sit up on her own (with a little help of a boppy) I took off the arches. I removed the toys from the arches and she still plays with those (she’s 10 months old). The mat became so useful for her to play on before she became too mobile. I could put all her toys in one place on that mat and that could be moved easily for cleaning, vaccuuming, etc. The mat folds up and has velcro straps to hold everything in while you relocate it (even put it in the trunk to take to Grandma’s with lots of toys still in it). I also found that she would spit up on it occasionally or get food on it and it was so easy to throw in the washer. Much easier than cleaning carpet! She is now too mobile to stay in one place so the mat is losing it’s usefulness but it was very useful for the first 8-10 months of her life. Highly recommended.
